SUN HATS
The school sun hat must be worn during Terms 1 and 4. Sunhats cost $7.00. Those children without sun hats will play in designated shaded areas or borrow a numbered loan hat.
RECYCLING
Many materials, often considered "junk", are very useful in the school situation.
Materials such as tiles, corks, lids, buttons, shapes etc, are valuable as concrete aids in the teaching of maths (length, mass, capacity) and operations with number. Teachers make use of such items in lessons on measurement.
Off-cuts of paper, particularly coloured paper, cardboard and fancy shapes, can be used in art and craft lessons. Paper of a more standard size can be used for published writing.
Plastic containers and boxes, with and without lids, are used for storage in classrooms and storerooms.
Should you have materials from home or your place of business that you feel may be useful to the school, we would be very grateful to hear from you.
| Cans: |
Do not crush. Place them in the bin near the bus bay. Please do not just leave them beside the bin in a plastic bag as they get very messy. |
| Glass: |
All glass should be placed in the bins by the Rugby Club. |
| Clothing: |
A collection bin is available by the bus gate. Funds go toward the school equipment. |
The school gains funds from the clothing and can recycling.
