DEAR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS
The Board of Trustees and the school have received the confirmed Education Review Report. ERO wrote “we congratulate you on the findings of this report and the high quality education the school offers to the students as you build students capacity to be independent learners. We note that the professional leadership of the principal and the senior managers and staff and the commitment of the Board continue to be features of the school”. It is really encouraging for our school to be acknowledged by the Review Office confirming the positive direction the school is heading in. Accompanying this newsletter is the ERO letter reporting to parents. A school is an integral part of a community and Patumahoe School’s strength is reflected by the strength of its community. We can all feel justly proud of this report.

SUPPORT STAFF
We have an amazing Support Staff team and next Wednesday 16 June is Support Staff Day. In their new office, Margaret and Kerri are able to carry out their duties even more efficiently than before and Kerri can slip into the Library for librarian duties. Suzanne, Katherine, Bronwyn and Graeme all work with in-class support or special programmes helping identified children. Ross our IT man keeps electronic systems running smoothly. Thank you team, you all play an important part in our school and we really appreciate your contribution.

DENTAL CARAVAN
A reminder that the Dental nurse will be examining pupils for treatment on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Parents must return the ‘permission to treat’ form.

UNIFORMS
Parents please check that your child is wearing the correct school uniform. On entering our school you have agreed to follow the school’s policy. Our uniform policy has the guidelines for the acceptable uniform. Winter is here and we have warm winter uniform clothing available. Phone Jan for your uniform needs on 2363566 or fill in an order form at the school office The uniform shop is open on Friday’s at 2.20-3pm and is now in the old sick bay.

PTA PRENZEL OPPORTUNITY
Coming home today is a Prenzel catalogue with some lovely kitchen products for sale. This fundraiser is in the hope of receiving ‘hostess’ product to go towards our Calf Club raffles as well as bringing parents the opportunity to purchase some great items for home or gifts. All orders must be in by next Friday 18 June.

J ROCK
1        A reminder for all parents who have indicated they will buy J Rock concert tickets that payment is due in by this Friday 11 June. Please ensure that your money is in as we have a deadline to adhere to for payment.
2        We have received a competitive quote for transporting the 50 children involved in J Rock to the Aotea Centre so will be bussing the children and helpers there. Unfortunately this comes at a small cost (which will be cheaper than parking!) of $4.50 per child. A separate note will be coming home regarding this.
3        There will be a working bee straight after school this Friday in the hall. Please come along!
