DEAR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS
Last night, Tuesday 22 June, our school took part in the Auckland Schools J Rock Stage Challenge of dance and drama. This was held in the Aotea Centre with 50 pupils of our school in the performance. The 8 minute show was set to the theme of ‘Heroes and Villians’, with the idea that there is a super hero in each of us overcoming adversity. Miss Jennifer Utatao and Mrs Megan Truong along with a large group of parents bought the show to its perfection. Our thanks go to all the adults and the amazing children for completing the journey and providing a truly great show. As a school we benefit in so many ways from extending the opportunities for diverse educational experiences. The J Rock group have the ‘WOW’ factor award! Thank you everyone.
At the end of the show various Excellence and Highly Commended Awards are handed out. We are proud to say that Patumahoe School won 3 Awards of Excellence for Set, Design and Function, Stage Use, and Drama. A fantastic result and well deserved.
BOT
Our July Board of Trustees meeting is on June 29 at 7pm in the staff room. John Wilcox will be stepping down from the co-opted position transitioning us to the new Board. John and his family have supported the school in so many ways with John leading the Board through the building of our admin building, establishing sound governance systems and supporting the staff through an ERO review. Thank you John for your valuable contribution to our school.
THANK YOU J ROCK HELPERS
Miss Utatao and Mrs Truong would like to invite all the parents and family members who helped with J Rock, (set building, painting, on the day etc), to an afternoon tea in the staff room, straight after school this Friday 25 June. This is to say thank you for your help and support.

PTA COOKIE FUNDRAISER
Coming home today is a form regarding the selling of Griffins Mini Choc Chippie biscuits to raise funds for the upgrading of our playgrounds at school. This is a ‘new’ fundraiser from Griffins and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to get in quickly!! We believe these will be very easy to sell and the school receives an excellent percentage. Please fill in the form and return it to school by this Friday 25 June.
